Copyright and fair use are going to be lingering concepts once I am a teacher trying to use resources to teach my students. I will always be sure to give credit to whoever the author is of the work that I wish to use. I think that my students should also understand these two concepts so that stealing doesn't occur. I hope that once I am a teacher, I can be creative in my own way to create classroom resources for my students.
Cyberbullying was not that large of an issue when I was younger, but it is now with the ever-growing implementation of technology in everything we do. As a teacher, I will promptly introduce the issue of cyberbullying to my students and show them examples of what it is. I think using a matching activity of what counts as cyberbullying and what doesn't to further understand students' understanding of the concept could be helpful. The consequences of cyberbullying will also be addressed, even the extreme ones, so that students fully grasp the severity of cyberbullying.
The Newsletter Design assignment has helped me gain the skills of creating an aesthetically pleasing letter that I could take inspiration from in the future. Using MS Word features, such as creating columns and utilizing different fonts, are things that I've also gained knowledge about. In terms of improving my newsletter for the future, I think I will do more research on how to summarize things so that the articles aren't too crowded. Moreover, I plan to implement a more fun look that appeals to my students as well, hopefully getting them excited to show their parents the newsletter!
