Blog Post #6
Blogging is something that I never thought I would do. However, it has been very interesting to see how easy it is to do, and how functional it is because everything is easily accessible and in one place. There's nothing that I can think of about how I don't like blogging, it's nice and easy! Something that I have learned during the blogging process so far is that it can be easy to go back and edit a published blog. This helps me to not worry about if I made any mistakes on my blog because I can always fix it.
A Web 2.0 tool that I can use as a teacher is YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/). This tool is a platform where users can post videos and accumulate followers, comments, likes, and shares. Many helpful videos with a variety of topics can be found on this website. As a teacher, YouTube can be helpful to show students fun videos when learning a new topic to make it more engaging and interesting for the students.
My initial experiences with Generative AI was that I was fascinated by it. I would use it to produce pictures and to just see how accurate it can be. I noticed that really detailed prompts did not work as well as simple prompts to get what you wanted. Personally, I think that Generative AI can be very helpful for some things if you do graphic design or something similar to that. Contrarily though, I believe that Generative AI still has much improvements to do.
When I am a teacher, I will use Generative AI to help create images that aren't already on the internet. Similar to the meme assignment, Canva's Generative AI is very helpful and I think I will use that for making images. In terms of addressing ethical concerns, I think that I will teach my students about AI and what to and not to do with it. Personally, I will give credit to whatever I use to make sure that nothing is being stolen.
